The fifth annual Arkansas Women Bloggers Social Media Conference will bring women bloggers/social media mavens to Hot Springs. The event runs from Aug. 28-30 at The Arlington Resort and Spa and will feature over 100 bloggers and social media influencers from across Arkansas and surrounding states. The women will participate in workshops, networking, and ultimately the chance to build their blogs and brands.
“Women bloggers are a powerful force to be reckoned with. Women are the most powerful consumers in the world and women who have harnessed the tools of social media are an especially important demographic. Many brands and businesses are utilizing these effective influencers to build personality, loyalty, and sales for their product,” said Stephanie Buckley, founder of Arkansas Women Bloggers and known as The Park Wife in the social media world.
“We are providing an uplifting gathering for women to support and encourage each other in building a blog and social media platforms that fit their lives, personal and business goals and values,” said Buckley. “It’s a conference where the women feel they can make themselves at home, enjoy a rich weekend of blog-worthy experiences and deep connections with other bloggers in addition to workshops and learning opportunities without being lost in a crowd. Plus, the business of blogging and social media has catapulted in the recent years resulting in some very savvy business women in the business.”
Keynote speaker for this year’s conference is Rhea Lana Riner, founder and CEO of Rhea Lana, Inc. and Rhea Lana’s Franchise Systems, Inc. She started her children’s consignment event business 17 years ago in her living room while she was a stay-at-home mom raising three young children. Rhea Lana has been recognized by national publications that honors entrepreneurial women with rapidly growing companies who seek to mentor other women in business.
Conference kick-off speaker Lela Davidson is the award-winning author of Blacklisted from the PTA and Who Peed on My Yoga Mat? Her latest book, Faking Balance: Adventures in Work and Life, explores the middle ground between leaning in and maxing out. From fast track to mommy track to yoga-panted freelancer and back again, Lela has been all kinds of working mother. Described as an astute observer of modern life, she has a talent for uncovering the humor in everyday family life. She is currently the Vice President of Media & Entertainment for leading country lifestyle brand, Country Outfitter.

There are currently over 700 bloggers from the natural state listed in the group’s regional directories. They are also a talent agency to match entrepreneurs (from freelance writers and bloggers to social media experts and consumers) across eight states with partner companies to meet the needs of their clients. They specialize in content creation for company blogs and websites.
