Arkansas Women Bloggers Social Media Conference

T

The fifth annual Arkansas Women Bloggers Social Media Conference will bring women bloggers/social media mavens to Hot Springs. The event runs from Aug. 28-30 at The Arlington Resort and Spa and will feature over 100 bloggers and social media influencers from across Arkansas and surrounding states. The women will participate in workshops, networking, and ultimately the chance to build their blogs and brands.

“Women bloggers are a powerful force to be reckoned with. Women are the most powerful consumers in the world and women who have harnessed the tools of social media are an especially important demographic. Many brands and businesses are utilizing these effective influencers to build personality, loyalty, and sales for their product,” said Stephanie Buckley, founder of Arkansas Women Bloggers and known as The Park Wife in the social media world.

“We are providing an uplifting gathering for women to support and encourage each other in building a blog and social media platforms that fit their lives, personal and business goals and values,” said Buckley. “It’s a conference where the women feel they can make themselves at home, enjoy a rich weekend of blog-worthy experiences and deep connections with other bloggers in addition to workshops and learning opportunities without being lost in a crowd. Plus, the business of blogging and social media has catapulted in the recent years resulting in some very savvy business women in the business.”

Launched in 2009, Arkansas Women Bloggers (arkansaswomenbloggers.com) is a place where Arkansas women gather to share ideas and pride; joy and pain; birth and loss; and every other story that is part of living a life. The group transcends the barriers of race, politics, religion, and age to form a supportive community of women, most of whom do not know each other in person. There are currently over 700 bloggers from the natural state listed in the group’s regional directories. They are also a talent agency to match entrepreneurs (from freelance writers and bloggers to social media experts and consumers) across eight states with partner companies to meet the needs of their clients. They specialize in content creation for company blogs and websites.

Conference sponsors include:  First Security Bank’s OnlyinArk.com, Arkansas Farm Bureau, Riceland, Alliance Rubber, Petit Jean Meats, Central Arkansas McDonalds Cooperative, Mountain Valley Spring Water, and The Pack Shack.
