Have you been to a drive-in movie lately? Experiencing one with friends or family needs to be on your Arkansas summer bucket list! We’ve rounded up a list of what’s playing this weekend so be sure to check it out! Do you need a mid-week activity to help keep your sanity before the weekend? Then, catch a baseball game at Dickey Stephens Park and cheer on the Arkansas Travelers. Do you love the Natural State? You might consider helping with the Arkansas River Clean Up. Harry Potter Month: Sorting Day (Texarkana)
Help start the Texarkana Museums System month of Harry Potter by joining them at the Museum of Regional History for Sorting Day. You’ll be teamed with others and have the opportunity throughout the month to play online and at each of their museums. Spells and Potions, Wands, and House Awards are all planned activities throughout the month. Don’t miss this kickoff event!

Spaceberry Music Festival (Eureka Springs)
The Spaceberry Music Festival will be held at “The Farm” located in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of Eureka Springs, featuring two nights of Forgotten Space (Grateful Dead Tribute) also featuring: Sean Canan’s Voodoo Player’s Mom’s Kitchen (Widespread Panic Tribute). Head to Eureka Springs for two nights of music, camping, fireworks, art, craft and food vendors. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times.

Arkansas River Cleanup (Russellville)
Lake Dardanelle State Park is providing an opportunity on National River Cleanup Day for people to come together to make a big impact. Volunteers are needed for the Annual Arkansas River Cleanup from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The amount of trash and debris collected and removed on this day will improve the health of wildlife, people, and habitat of local waterways year round.

Bull Shoals-White River State Park FUN DAY

First Friday Evening Market (Downtown Camden)
The Camden market is an open-air evening market on Washington Street. There will be a large array of vendors, fresh produce, food & drink and live music. There will be a pet costume contest, pet photos and opportunities for pet adoption all while enjoying some bluegrass & country music.

Amazeum Rumor or Reality: Operation Hybrid (Bentonville)
Lots of places have camps, but Amazeum camps are super cool. Amazeum camps invite curious, active kids to investigate, question and create. Every camp is designed with learning by creating, doing and exploring together. The Operation Hybrid camp’s focus will be to discover which fantastical creature escaped from the undercover research facility. Throughout the week, an inside informant will provide information from the facility’s top secret files to help campers piece together the clues to reveal the identity of the unknown creature. This camp is for 6-11-year-olds.

Poly-Clay Unicorn Class (Fayetteville)
Create your own fantasy creature at Terra Studios in the Poly-Clay Unicorn Class. Polymer Clay is especially fun to work with because of the vibrant colors and quick baking time. Unlike regular clay classes, these projects can be taken home the same day that you make them. Once the class is finished, the projects must bake for 20-30 minutes. Feel free to explore the grounds or the gallery until your unicorn is ready to go home with you! Ages 7 and up.

Arkansas Travelers Vs. Springfield Cardinals
The Arkansas Travelers enjoy one of the longest running histories of any minor league franchise. The “Travelers” nickname is one of the oldest in professional sports. In fact, the Travelers have never taken a different nickname making it the second-longest running continuous nickname in Minor League Baseball, only trailing the Buffalo Bisons. The name “Arkansas Travelers” is derived from the famous minstrel known as the Arkansas Traveler, who roamed the Ozark Mountains selling his wares and singing songs. The team was originally known as the Little Rock Travelers and was renamed for the entire state in 1957, becoming the first professional sports franchise named after a state. The travelers have a home game against the Springfield Cardinals on Wednesday. This makes for the perfect midweek summer activity.

Movies in the Park (North Little Rock)
Movies in the Park is a free outdoor movie series in Little Rock’s River Market. The mission of Movies in the Park is help foster a sense of community and enjoyment in downtown Little Rock and throughout Central Arkansas by bringing people together to enjoy a movie in a unique setting along the scenic banks of the Arkansas River. The movie on July 11th will be Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Amity Trade Days
Amity Trade Days is a huge outdoor market sitting on 54 acres at an old lumber mill. Vendors gather to sell wares each month, and you can shop, rain or shine, in huge open-air buildings. Styles include antiques to boutiques, chic to shabby, ragtag to regal. There is something for all the picker, weekend warrior, or serious collector. You can also enjoy live music and food trucks while there.

Bark Bash (Fayetteville)
The first ever BARK BASH will be held at the Fayetteville Town Center on July 7. The goal is to bring together dog owners and dog lovers with local vendors in one venue.
