The Daniel Tiger show at the Walton Arts Center and the Princess Superhero Party at Harding University will be perfect for kids. Dad’s and daughters will enjoy Father-Daughter ball in Bentonville. Beast Feast is the annual Sportsman Banquet hosted in Conway. It is held each winter and is open to men and boys of all ages and is a night filled with games, entertainment, prizes, live music, great food, and great speakers. This year, Beast Feast welcomes Dr. Damon Friedman. Dr. Friedman is a combat-decorated veteran who served four combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Originally a US Marine Corps officer, Damon transferred into the Air Force’s elite as a Special Tactics Officer (aka Combat Controller). His decorations include three Bronze Stars (one with Valor) and the Air Force Combat Action Medal. The expo opens at 1:00 p.m. The dinner and program will begin at 5:00 pm. You can also help support local food banks by bringing non-perishable items. You will be entered into a special prize drawing for every item donated

The 8th annual Princess Superhero Party is this Saturday! Snacks, crafts, activities and a fun sing-a-long with Belles & Beaux are a part of the morning, including Harding students dressed as your child’s favorite princesses and superheroes! Children are encouraged to wear their favorite costume. Bring your cameras and invite your friends! Each year, St. James Catholic Church hosts a festival where you can enjoy trying different foods from around the world, participate in silent auctions and join raffles to win prizes! The Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center in Little Rock invites you to join them for a seminar on Turkey Hunting Basics. Participants will gain knowledge on how to enjoy one of hunting’s most exciting challenges: Wild Turkey. You will learn about the needed equipment, appropriate camouflage, set-up techniques to improve your chances of harvesting birds, where to hunt, and the requirements to legally hunt. Discover how to “talk turkey” with a variety of turkey calls. Tips for viewing these magnificent birds will also be discussed. This event is best or ages 10 and up. Several downtown businesses are putting on a fun day of shopping for you and your gal pals this weekend. Grab a friend or two and spend the day shopping in downtown Bentonville. There will be raffle tickets given out at each participating shop. Every $10 spent earns you a ticket for the grand prize. The grand prize winner will be picked on Tuesday the 11th. This weekend in Jonesboro, the First National Bank Arena will be filled with over 75,000 square feet of the latest sporting products designed to captivate hunting, fishing and boating enthusiasts of all ages. There will be boats and motors, ATV’s, fishing equipment, hunting gear, special seminars, attractions, outdoor sporting goods and water sports gear.
