The Café on Broadway in Siloam Springs

I

If you’re looking for a place where you can hang out in a comfortable space with an easygoing vibe and simply relax, The Café on Broadway in Siloam Springs is your place. From coffee to baked goods, to drinks and standard café dishes, The Café has something for everyone.

The Café on Broadway in Siloam Springs

A community restaurant.

The Café on Broadway in downtown Siloam Springs opened its door in 2005. At the time, it was basically the only place downtown to grab a bite to eat or a cup of coffee. Over the years, The Café became much more – a hangout spot for the community.

Variety is at the heart of The Café.

The menu is diverse with standard café fare as well as unique offerings. Just like the menu, the customers who visit The Café day in and day out are varied. From men’s groups to college students, to moms visiting friends, to writers finding a quiet spot to write, and people traveling through – The Café is known for being a haven for people to visit, work and connect.

The restaurant itself is eclectic. From multi-colored paint on the walls, to mish-mashed furniture throughout every nook and cranny.

As to be expected at such an iconic downtown eatery, there are times when the dining room gets cramped and overcrowded. Thankfully, there will be an expansion of the dining room in the spring of 2022.

New owners take over (yet keep it the same).

In 2018, Patty and Melissa Arnette purchased The Café on Broadway. They weren’t interested in “making over” the restaurant. They already loved the uniqueness of The Café and cherished their little community.

“We’re not people in business to just make a buck,” Patty shared. “We want to create a sense of place and encourage all people to feel welcome. We really try to build a community here at The Café.”

Keeping it real every day.

The Café on Broadway uses real ingredients. They don’t cut corners. They make all of their dressings and soups in-house.

We go the extra mile to make sure everything is fresh and real.”

The Café also pays attention to the small details; From stacks of board games for customers to play, to free Wi-Fi, to providing a Kindness Board so that people can purchase meals and give to people in need.

Okay, so what is popular?

The Café is also a bakery. Pastries are made fresh and every two days they donate to a community fridge and local pantry.

The Turkey Club is the most popular sandwich and quiche is always a crowd favorite. I highly recommend the Monte Cristo, dusted with powdered sugar and served with homemade raspberry jam dip.

They also provide a gluten-free quiche, gluten-free bread, and all of their dressings and soups are gluten-free.

The Café on Broadway also has a full bar. While they can make any drink, favorites include Bloody Mary, Mimosa Flights, and a hot White Russian with espresso.

Go local.

The Café on Broadway tries to use as many local sources and farmers as possible. They source their coffee from Bad Dog Beanery in Siloam Springs and have done so for the past 15 years. They also use Tabletop Greens out of Decatur for organic lettuce and basil for pesto and they grow their own herbs for quiches.

“We try to use as many local people as possible. If we can help lift somebody up, that’s a great thing to do. In fact, anybody that comes through the door and says, I have some tomatoes for sale, I use them.”

Be sure to add The Café on Broadway to your next place to visit in Northwest Arkansas. When you walk in, you will feel like a local.
