Toad Suck Daze is the official beginning to festival season in Arkansas. Held the first weekend in May, Toad Suck Daze is Arkansas’s largest free festival. An international award winner for children’s programming, the festival has a decidedly family feel. Entertainers like Blake Shelton, MC Hammer, Little Big Town, Jerry Jeff Walker, En Vogue, Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert and many more have played to crowds of 10,000 or more on Friday and Saturday nights.
The World Championship Toad Races offer kids of all ages a chance to participate in one of the south’s great festival traditions. Less adventurous festival-goers can spend the day shopping regional craft booths, visiting the traditional midway or eating from a broad range of concessionaires.
Toad Suck Daze may remind you a lot of that hometown festival you grew up attending. And while you’re there, you’ll be supporting a great cause. Over the last 30 years, the festival has raised more than $1.5 million for local education initiatives.
Come visit Toad Suck Daze—even if it’s only to get the t-shirt. We think you’ll end up hanging around. For more info visit ToadSuck.org.
