Green Bean Bundle Casserole

H

Have you ever made green bean bundles? If you said yes, then you know how time-consuming those delectable little bundles can be to prepare. Not anymore with this Green Bean Bundle Casserole recipe. You can still get all your favorite flavors with a lot less prep time and there are only 6 ingredients. It is the perfect recipe for the holidays, potlucks, summer cookouts, and even in place of the original appetizer. It’s a great recipe to feed a crowd or cut in half just for your family.

In my opinion, all great recipes start with bacon and this Green Bean Bundle Casserole does not disappoint. Grab some of Arkansas’ very own Petit Jean Bacon to take this recipe over the top.

Tips

To make prep even easier, cut bacon in advance and store in ziptop bag in the refrigerator.

You can also easily prep the whole casserole the night before. Prep bacon and place in a ziptop bag. Prep green beans in a casserole dish. Then prep butter and brown sugar mixture and store in a microwavable dish. Place all prepped items in the refrigerator up to two days in advance. On the day of baking, preheat the oven, spread bacon over green beans, melt the butter and brown sugar mixture in the microwave and spread over the casserole. Bake as directed.

This recipe can feed a crowd, but it is also super easy to cut in half.

To cut the recipe in half:

  • 3 cans whole green beans
  • ½ pound bacon
  • ¾ stick of butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • dash of garlic salt and black pepper

Follow the original recipe for directions on how to bake.
